Our Treasury Operations Department is looking for an Officer The main purpose of this position is to supervise/monitor the daily Treasury Operations activities and ensure that all Treasury transactions are being processed in a timely and correct manner. Job Responsibilities:
  • Ensure that revaluation rates and daily rates of exchange are correctly input on Finacle Core system & Finacle Treasury System and are aligned to market rates.
  • Verification of the various statements before submission to BoM within cut-off time
  • Reconcile Accounting Exposure with Back Office blotter.
  • Reconciliation of P&L of Front office to ledger.
  • Ensure all new deals, inter-bank transfer, investments, placements among other transactions are processed in a timely and correct manner.
  • All deals, placements & MM deals should be confirmed asap & confirmations received from counterparties should be verified/matched asap. Any mismatch to be reported & queried immediately.
  • Verify Reuters conversations in a sequential manner, notifications from Citibank and other platforms to ensure all deals done by Treasury Front Office have been processed in a timely manner.
  • Ensure that BoM balance is within CRR% on a daily basis. Any shortage to be promptly reported to Manager of Treasury Back Office and Treasury Front Office Team.
  • Assist and participate in Internal and External audit reviews.
  • Adopt proper records management principle as defined by the bank in terms of upkeep and filing of deals.
  • Assist and participate in archiving process.
  • Abide by Bank of Mauritius guidelines with regard to: Cash Reserve Ratio Requirements Management of Risk; Liquidity Risk Management; and any other regulatory guideline related to Treasury Operations.
  • Abide by internal policies and procedures.
  • To keep up to date with Treasury Products

  Qualifications & Experience:  
  • Degree in Banking/Finance/Accounting or partly qualified ACCA/CA/CIMA.
  • Minimum 5 years banking experience in Treasury Back Office Operations.
