Our Personal Financial Services Department is looking for a Relationship Manager – Elite Banking!

Job Purpose:
Your responsibility is to support the Head of Elite Banking Offshore to deliver OB strategy. You are required to build, maintain, and develop long term relationships across a portfolio of high value customers by providing solutions, achieving sales & income target, great customer experience while complying with internal & external policies and procedures to minimise financial risk.

Key Responsibilities:

Relationship Management 
  • Identify, solution and on-board new Mass Affluent/HNWI clients as per laid down criteria.
  • Represent the Bank at various community functions to further enhance its image and increase business opportunities.
  • Perform market analysis on a regular basis to better understand, anticipate, and respond to customer needs.
  • Manage customer segmentation strategies, specifically the delivery of a HNW proposition.
  • Review and timely investigation of customer service quality complaints.
  • Maintain a healthy customer portfolio of HNWI - Residents and Non-Resident.
  • Maintain high Customer Experience Standards to improve cross-selling opportunities and Customer Service levels.
  • Ensure provision of high quality and timely service to customers through a Customer Centric Approach while by attending to their needs and maintaining permanent contact with them through visits, phone calls, emails, etc.

  • Have an in-depth understanding of the local market conditions and competitor activities.
  • Implement the strategy of the Business Segment to enable achievement of revenue, profitability, set targets and customer satisfaction at both business unit and individual levels.
  • Proactively identify product gaps and deviations from cost/financial metrics to propose corrective actions.
  • Achieve income targets and contribute to the overall performance and profitability of Retail Banking through the development of business from new & existing customers.
  • Adhere to regulatory compliance and bank policies and procedures to safeguard the bank from potential losses.

Portfolio Health
  • Manage a portfolio of customers in accordance with credit policies and guidelines.
  • Implement lead and contact management strategy to develop customer portfolio.
  • Ensure awareness of compliance requirements and implementation of Compliance Policy.
  • Identify, report, and resolve any irregularities to minimise any financial/reputation loss.
  • Maintain and ensure due observance of regulatory compliance and bank policies and procedures.
  • Monitor non-performing accounts (NPAs) with appropriate and prompt action plans for recovery of dues.

Learning and Growth  
  • Identify talent and develop new capabilities through empowerment, monitoring & management of individual & team performance.
  • Build internal capabilities through coaching, guidance, training, and personal development of Junior RMs Demonstrate leadership on Regulatory and Compliance matters.
  • Maintain, observe, and foster awareness of operational risk and compliance culture while minimising the risk of its occurence.

  • Thorough knowledge of Accounting Principles & Practice, Consumer Lending, Credit Principles, Risk Management, and the Banking Regulatory Framework.
  • Good knowledge of the Bank's Products & Services, People Management Skills, Interview Skills.
  • Good knowledge of Operational Risk, KYC and Anti-Money Laundering Procedures.

Experience and Qualifications:
  • University degree with at least 7 years relevant experience or minimum of 10 years solid and relevant experience in Relationship Management.
  • Proven ability in team leadership and performance management and coaching.
  • Proven ability in Retail sales and Retail and Sales Management and Business Development.
