Our International Banking Department is looking for Senior Credit Manager. The main role is to assess credit proposals by providing critical analytical direction and analysis of inherent risks to safeguard the best interest of the Bank. Job Responsibilities:  
  • Prepare credit file with support of RMs and facilitate approval process.
  • Analyse and interpret Financial statements, Conduct research on country/client sectors.
  • Ensure all recommendations of credit proposals to relevant Credit Committees for approval are in compliance with credit policies, desired Bank standards and within agreed deadlines.
  • Liaise with Credit Risk team and Credit Administration for smooth credit processing, documentation, disbursement and post disbursement monitoring.
  • Ensure transaction documents for approved facilities are processed and are line with approved terms and conditions.
  • Ensure proper monitoring and housekeeping is done on the portfolio in a timely manner through coordination with Credit Administration team.
  • Ensure all control measures relative to approved facilities are adhered to.
  • Ensure compliance with KYC Policies and operating procedures.
  • Operate as a team player ensuring the achievement of the department's goals.
  • Monitor and motivate junior staffs to ensure that optimum level of productivity and service standards are achieved.
  • Structure appropriate financial solutions for customers.
  • Nurture business relationship with external customers and ensure timely delivery of service.
  • Maintain cordial relations with internal customers to work as a closely knit team.
  • Promote a client-centric approach towards building a successful and profitable business relationship.
  • Achieved contracted growth in assets, net income and new customer acquisitions.
  • Cross-Sell products to maximize business from each connection.
  • Ensure control systems put in place are adhered to in full so as to minimize risk of loss to the bank.
  • Keep abreast with general events having bearing on international business.
  • Be up to date with changes within banking regulations and financial and industry development
  Technical Skills & Behavioural Skills  
  • Strong knowledge of the Central Bank’s guidelines and other relevant local legislation.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Strong knowledge of offshore banking.
  • Ability to quickly pick up risk of Money Laundering.
  • Ability to drive business and deliver strong results.
  • Computer literate with sound knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook.
  • Good time management skills.
  • Excellent team spirit.
  • Proactive, dynamic and solution driven.
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Highly numerate
  Qualifications & Experience:  
  • Degree in Banking/Finance or any relevant field, however a Master’s Degree would be more advantageous
  • Minimum of 5 years working experience in the banking/offshore sector in a similar position.
