Our International Banking Department is looking for a Relationship Manager Financial Institution

Job Purpose:
Responsible for growing/optimizing business levels transacted with Correspondent Banks and advising the Bank on any events occurring within correspondent network, which might impact the Bank’s business and service delivery.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Establish, Manage and promote cordial relationships with Foreign Correspondent Banks, Local Commercial banks, Non-bank Financial Institutions, and Development Financial Institutions to facilitate seamless trade finance transactions. Negotiate lines of Credit with Foreign Financial Institutions;
  • Develop, promote and support growth of the bank business in the International circles through correspondence relationship;
  • Extend lines of credit to local financial institutions in the regions that we are present;
  • Ensure compliance to Bank Operational Risk Policy, Anti-Money Laundering Prevention policy and other relevant policies. Cooperate with the Money Laundering Prevention Officers (Unit, Business, and Country) to ensure compliance to internal and external controls and procedures for money laundering prevention;
  • Engage discussion with Credit Risk/ Risk/Compliance Team;
  • Monitor customer performance through regular review of accounts, customer visits and financial statements;
  • Achieve contracted growth in liabilities, net income, non-interest income and new customer acquisitions;
  • Cross-Sell products to maximize business from each connection;
  • Ensure control systems put in place are adhered to in full so as to minimize risk of loss to the bank.
Qualifications & Experience:
  • Min Degree in Banking/ Finance/ Accounting or any related field;
  • 5+ years of overall experience in the financial sector with preferably two years experience in Banking sector at managerial position;
  • Experience working in global business environment;
  • Keep up-to-date with financial and industry developments;
  • Strong knowledge of Central Bank’s guidelines and other relevant local legislations;
  • Strong marketing and sales skills;
  • Strong analytical and judgmental skills;
  • Strong knowledge of offshore banking;
  • Ability to quickly pick up risk of Money Laundering;
  • Ability to take decision and be solution driven;
  • Strong understanding of various financial market.
  • Ability to lead, coach and motivate the International Banking staff to meet targets;
  • Good communication and listening skills;
  • Ability to drive business and deliver strong results.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Very good command of Microsoft tools.
