Job Summary: The Branch Manager's role is to achieve sales target through effective development and execution of sales strategies and use of available resources in respect of Bank's overall risk policies related to Branch operations.

Key responsibilities:
  • Adhere to regulatory compliance and bank policies and procedures
  • Ensure that the branch interior and exterior are properly maintained for business
  • Handling of complaints as per the Complaints Handling Procedures
  • Providing effective management of the Bank’s operational integrity standards ensuring that any breaches and potential losses are kept to a minimum
  • Create an ambiance conducive to business by ensuring an outstanding level of service to all customers and identifying service gaps through customer feedback and complaints
  • Manage the level of service and customer relationship through staff performance
  • Build and maintain effective relationships with business communities and customers
  • Visit the top 100 clients at least once a year
  • Ensure cross selling and upselling of Bank products and services
  • Manage the sales process through prompt and efficient delivery
  • Represent the Bank at various community functions to further enhance its image and increase business opportunities through networking
  • Ensure that:
    • Branch expenses are incurred in respect of Branch Budget and Bank's policy/procedures
    • Accounting entries are effected as per guidelines from Finance Division
    • Bank's assets and resources are properly managed, maintained and utilised
  • Keep abreast with latest changes within banking regulations
  • Self-development through training and academic qualification
  • Develop inquisitive and innovative mindset to identify areas which can be improved & enhanced
  • Leading and coaching of branch staff to enhance employee engagement and commitment to the bank
  • Promote a culture of sales service and operational excellence among staff
  • Provide a conducive environment for staff development, sharing of knowledge and team building
Qualifications and competencies
  • Minimum HSC with preferred qualification being Under Graduate
  • A minimum of 5 years banking experience as Branch Manager
Additional knowledge
  • Financial - Accounting Principles & Practice
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office tools(Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Ability to use Finacle
  • Managerial Skills
