Our IT Department is looking for a Windows Application Specialist.

  Job Purpose:

Installing, configuring, and maintaining Windows-based applications. To configure user access and maintain system stability and data security through deployment and migration. Applications maintenance and customisation and participation in projects. Providing high quality support and ensure high availability of windows-based applications as per defined SLA. Strong customer service and communication skills with people at all level. Excellent troubleshooting, debugging and complex problem-solving skills.

  Key Responsibilities:

  • Plan, implement, maintain, and manage windows application infrastructure.
  • Installing, configuring, and maintaining server applications and support of business processing requirements.
  • Ensures compliance with established security guidelines, approved standards, and approved company policies while adhering and contributing to the development of Technology Standards, Standard Operating Procedures, and Technology Policies.
  • Develop and maintain installation and configuration procedures.
  • Research and recommend innovative, and where possible automated approaches for system administration tasks.
  • Perform daily system application monitoring, verifying the integrity and availability of all Microsoft application Infrastructure, server resources, systems and key processes, reviewing system and application logs, and verifying completion of scheduled jobs.
  • Address IT Security/Audit findings and recommendations are implemented within agreed timelines.
  • High level of communication skills while dealing with both internal and external parties .
  • Ensure proper documentations are maintained and updated following changes in process/applications.
  • Interacting with internal customers and understand their Business requirement.

Qualification & Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT related Field with three years post experience in Windows application administration.
  • Microsoft certified systems administration certification.
  • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft applications.
  • Experience with formal Disaster Recovery planning, testing and processes.
  • Experience in Banking related applications would be an advantage.
