Job Summary: The main purpose of this position is to assess credit proposals by providing critical analytical direction and analysis of inherent risks to safeguard the best interest of the Bank. Key Responsibilities:
  • Prepare credit file with support of RMs and facilitate approval process. It would involve analyzing credit proposals by looking at client financial risk profile, repayment capability, security adequacy and industry position.
  • Ensure all recommendations of credit proposals to relevant Credit Committees for approval are in compliance with credit policies, desired Bank standards and within agreed deadlines.
  • Analyse and interpret Financial statements.
  • Conduct research on country/client sectors as and when required
  • Prepare sanction letters for approved facilities in a timely manner and ensure that all covenants are properly inserted as per approval.
  • Liaise with Credit Risk team and Credit Administration for smooth credit processing, documentation, disbursement and post disbursement monitoring.
  • Ensure General monitoring and housekeeping (Letter of Offer, disbursement, CS, covenants,) is done in a timely manner through coordination with Credit Administration team.
  • Prepare customer auditor's reports as and when required.
  • Ensure all control measures relative to approved facilities are adhered to.
  • Ensure compliance with KYC Policies and operating procedures.
  • Operate as a team player ensuring the achievement of the department's goals.
  • Monitor and motivate junior staff to ensure that optimum level of productivity and service standards are achieved.
  • Structure appropriate financial solutions for customers.
  • Nurture business relationship with external customers and ensure timely delivery of service.
  • Maintain cordial relations with internal customers to work as a closely knit team.
  • Respond to client inquires on a timely basis.
  • Promote a client-centric approach towards building a successful and profitable business relationship.
Technical skills:
  • Strong knowledge of Central Bank’s guidelines and other relevant local legislation.
  • Strong marketing and sales skills.
  • Strong analytical and judgmental skills.
  • Strong knowledge of offshore banking.
  • Ability to quickly pick up risk of Money Laundering.
  • Ability to drive business and deliver strong results.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Qualifications & Experience:
  • Degree in Banking/Finance or any relevant field would be an advantage.
  • Minimum 7 years working experience in the banking sector.
  • Experience in offshore banking would be an advantage
