Job Purpose
  • Be responsible for merchant acquisition on new payment platforms by scaling the relationships with existing and new merchants, build and grow usage volume, provide support for smooth use and identify cross-selling opportunities
Job Responsibilities
  • Promote digital payment solutions to existing and potential new merchants and register them on the platform as per budget
  • Track and ensure that the merchant is using the Bank’s payment solutions and is maintaining a minimum level of activity as per budget.
  • Source from the right segment to increase data-led secondary revenues.
  • Work in close collaboration with the SME/Corporate Relationship Managers for referrals, securing appointments and client on-boarding through visits.
  • Ensure proper merchants onboarding with a complete set of documents as per the bank’s policies
  • Manage service relationships with clients by coordinating with back-end service teams to ensure clients concerns are quickly addressed.
  • Provide the first level of support to the merchants in case of issues with the payment platforms and escalate the matter as appropriate with proper follow-ups
  • Gather and share market/competitor intelligence and inform Channel Head about any gaps in product offering compared to peers
  • Train merchants about platform use
  • Cross-sell other banking products such as loans, credit cards, deposit accounts, etc and ensure the Bank One Policies are followed.
  • Liaise with other departments at Bank One to facilitate smooth operations and ensure prompt and accurate delivery of service
  • Represent the company in various events, socializing events and other activities and facilitate the promotion and branding of the company, its products/ services.
  • Ensure that Customer satisfaction levels are high & such that customer referrals are generated given good services
  • Ensure flaws are avoided and errors are rectified

  Qualifications & Experience:
  • HSC or equivalent acceptable qualifications.
  • Minimum 1-year experience in merchant acquiring preferably in the banking sector would be an advantage.
