Job Summary: You will be responsible for developing, managing and sustaining a portfolio of SME and Business Banking customers. Key Responsibilities:
  • Source new SME and Business Banking customers through referrals, cold calls and networking.
  • Develop and build sound business relationships with SME/Business Banking customers and provide an outstanding level of service to these customers.
  • Increase the Bank’s share of wallet with the customers in the portfolio.
  • Work closely with all stakeholders, including Branch teams, to increase market share.
  • Understand and identify the financial needs and requirements of SME/Business Banking customers and structure suitable products and services accordingly.
  • Develop Customer Relationship Plans and visit customers on a regular basis.
  • Analyse SME/Business Banking credit proposals and make appropriate recommendations from a Front Office perspective.
  • Review customers’ business performance through regular review of accounts, visits and analysis of financial statements.
  • Follow up on excess, arrears and conditions subsequent and ensure appropriate actions are taken. Conduct all sales & service activities within the Risk & Compliance parameters defined by the Bank.
Technical Skills:
  • A detailed knowledge of SME Banking and Business Banking as well as a broad understanding of banking products and services required by such customers.
  • Sound understanding of Trade Finance products.
  • Proven ability to develop relationships with SME/Business Banking customers.
  • Sound credit appraisal techniques, particularly for SME and Business Banking clients.
  • Sound understanding of Credit Administration Process.
  • Sound knowledge of KYC principles and AML/CFT requirements.
  • Strong knowledge of Central Bank’s guidelines and other relevant local legislations.
  • A detailed understanding of Regulatory guidelines and credit risk policies
  • Good interpersonal and communication skills both in English and French.
  • Ability to use Microsoft Office tools (Excel, Word, PowerPoint)
  • Strong analytical and judgmental skills.
  • Strong marketing, selling and negotiation skills.
  • Quality oriented, have an eye for details and show strong bias for continuous improvement.
  • Ability to work under pressure to meet tight deadlines.

Qualifications & Experience:
  • Degree in Banking/Finance/Accounting or any relevant field.
  • Minimum 5 years’ experience in a similar role with a proven track record of target achievement
