  • Ensure an outstanding level of service to all customers
  • Promote and maintain a positive relationship with customers
  • Identify opportunities for cross-selling and upselling of the bank's products and services.
  • Deal with customers with tact and courtesy while handling customer's requests/enquiries/complaints
  • Operate as Teller when and as required.
Key Responsibilities:

As a Teller

  • Ensure that due diligence is exercised during cash handling and detection counterfeit banknotes.
  • Ensure that all MICR cheques are credited to the correct account numbers and are sent to OPC for clearing.
  • Adhere to regulatory compliance and bank policies and procedures
  • Seek guidance from the Branch Manager where appropriate
  • Ensure that returns are completed and submitted error free within deadline (CSR).
  • Ensure that cash, cheques and other transactions are performed as per the Cash Handling Procedures and other relevant policy.
  • Ensure that cash in hand balance agrees with Teller Sheet Total at end of day.
  • Ensure close follow-up is effected for all pending matters and corrective measures are taken to resolve issues
As a CSR
  • Ensure that customer application for credit facilities meet Bank's criteria and are in respect of credit policy.
  • Carry out customer requests to create, close and maintain customer accounts /ATM cards as per bank’s policies and procedures
Technical Skills:

Qualifications & Experience:
  • HSC (3 mains and 2 subsidiaries) or equivalent acceptable qualifications.
  • 1 year experience as teller in the banking sector would be an advantage
