Qualifications & Experience:
  • Degree in Banking/Finance/Accounting or partly qualified ACCA/CA/CIMA.
  • Minimum 2 years banking experience in Credit /financial analysis.
Key Responsibilities: Credit Analysis Unit
  • Perform preliminary screening of Institutional, International Banking, Financial Institutions and Sovereign deals to ensure deserving proposals onboarding
  • Structure and prepare comprehensive credit proposals using credit risk techniques
  • To critically assess the qualitative and quantitative information of a customer and make objective and independent recommendations, in compliance with all Bank policies and other relevant guidelines, to enable the approving authority to arrive at a well informed decision
  • Actively work towards building and maintaining good and positive relationship with Front Office Teams
Key Responsibilities: Corporate Banking
  • Prepare credit file with support of Relationship Managers and facilitate approval process.
  • Ensure that all credit proposal recommendations sent for approval to relevant Credit Committees are in compliance with Bank credit policies, and defined standards.
  • Analyse and interpret Financial statements.
  • Conduct research on country/industry segments as and when required.
  • Prepare sanction letters for approved facilities in a timely manner and ensure that all covenants are properly inserted as per approval.
Key Responsibilities: Credit Risk Department
  • Assess credit proposals from Corporate and International Banking within agreed SLA/KPI. It would involve completing a comprehensive risk assessment to highlight inter alia, the credit risks involved and how to mitigate these risks.
  • Ensure alignment of all credit requests with the Bank’s Credit Policy and guidelines and formulate proper recommendations to the approving authority.
  • Undertake quantitative and qualitative financial analysis to develop a comprehensive understanding of counter party risks for new or increased facilities.
  • Assist in reviews of Sovereign and Bank limits.
  • Proactively research, analyze and manage data from reliable sources with the aim to preempt risks on the credit portfolio.
  • Assist to produce regulatory reports on credit concentration and related party transactions.
Technical Skills:
  • Computer literate with sound knowledge of word, excel, PowerPoint and Microsoft Outlook.
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of loan granting processes including credit checks, affordability criteria and repayment terms and conditions.
  • Strong knowledge of Corporate Finance, Structured Trade Finance, Project Finance and Risk Management.
  • Sound knowledge of Central Bank’s guidelines and other relevant local legislations.
